This site earns commission on purchases made through its buttons. That is the whole arrangement, and this page exists so nobody has to guess at it.

How it works

Each button carries a tracking parameter. If you buy after following one, the store pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price either way: the commission comes out of the retail partner’s margin, not out of your total.

What it does not change

Ratings are printed as they stand, including the ones below four. Clocks that go out of stock come off the site, which earns nothing at all. The comparison table on the front page says where a phone alarm or a basic clock does the job as well as ours, and it stays that way.

What it does affect is that this site exists. The photography, the writing and the updates are paid for this way.
